Anthony Gee, Managing Director

Mr. Gee is a Partner of Carthage Capital Group. He has been involved in all aspects of private equity for the past 12 years.  Mr. Gee has headed Carthage’s investment program since inception making investments in telecom, IT, food services and industrial sectors. Mr. Gee has participated in venture capital, buyout and growth equity transactions. Mr. Gee led the investment in B2EMarkets, Connectiva Systems and the acquisition of Defiance Testing in partnership with Ashok Leyland/Hinduja Group. Before founding Carthage, Mr. Gee worked in investment banking at Smith Barney and Salomon Brothers.  Previously, Mr. Gee was a Research Analyst at New Science Associates, an emerging technology and strategy think-tank (acquired by Gartner Group). 

 

Mr. Gee received an M.B.A. in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he was a NYU Graduate Fellow and a B.S. in Computer Science, with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he was a National Science Foundation Scholar.
